E-SWORD

Hello Friends!

Today I want to inform you about a great Biblestudyapplication thats been a great help to me in my walk with God.

Its called E-sword and with it you can view many Bible translations at the same time.
I have found it a great help to see the word in different translations. I try to have my Swedish translation alongside with some English and sometimes Danish and Norwegian to compare. I have noticed that sometimes its easier to understand some scriptures when reading different translations.

You can download translations in these languages: Afrikaans, Arabic, Bulgarian, Czech, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, English(close to 30 different) Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew(Old testament) Hungarian, Iclandic, Indonesian, Italian, Korean, Latin, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Somalian, Spanish, Swedish, Tagalog, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Welsh

One of the great helps is King James Version with the Strong Concordance.
You can also copy and paste bibleverses right into your notes.
A great help when preparing a sermon or just for your own study.

Download it here

For Macusers

Socialaid only vs an holistic missionstheology

I read an interesting article about missional theology in the Swedish magazine Dagen.
It was written by Wilgot Fritzon the director for Light for the Peoples (an missionsorganisation who is focusing on the unreached peoplegroups, mainly in europe and asia).
He wrote about how people who had a calling to go out was stoped by their churches because they couldnt get goverment founds to go there. Many chruches focus merely on the social side of the gospel, and throgh that they can recive money from a goverment organisation SIDA. Well is there a changing view in the church today? Its interesting to see that the former statechurch of Sweden has totally turned away from the great commission:

"A paradigmshift has happend in the churchlife- from seing ourselfs as carriers
of truth to others, to now seeing our selfs walking alongside with people on the road of life"(freely translated from Swedish) Mats Hermansson -the man in charge of the missionstheology in the Swedish Lutheran Church.

A view like that is found in the liberal theology that is totally flooding the Swedish Lutheran Church, as a book by former Arch Bisphop KG Hammar puts it "I dont carry the truth, Im looking for it"

A part of the article did discuss how the other denominations like Assemblies of God, Interact(baptist denomination) are facing missions today. And sadly he states that the socialaid part is taking over. Offcourse it is important to help the poor, but its also important that the work we do has an eternal impact. Otherwise it dosnt matter if the organisation is called Assemblies of God, the red cross or The Bill Gats found for the less fortunate(don´t know if it excists an organisation by that name).

When Jesus fed the multitudes he also talked about the bread of life and that they should follow him. (John 6) He followed action with words. Jesus put the focus on the eternal. Shouldnt we?

I have a very strong emphasis on the preahing of the word, mabye to strong? No we cant emphasise that to much. Faith Comes by hearing. I dont look down on social work. But social work with out the word of God is like giving a homeless person a couple of cents when we are the richest people in the world.

We must plant churches in the unreached areas, the social aid will come when planting the church, it will come naturally. But we must have our focus straight.

Lets start belive God our provider instead of the goverment. Lets look at mission with a holistic view,1) the preaching of salvation, 2) social aid as a natural effect of preaching the word. And in all let the love of Christ compell us to go!

Passion for the lost

Today Ive got the first lesson in The Reinhard Bonnke School of Fire certificate course on "effective soul-winning and evangelism". So now I´m back at school. I had been thinking about attending ever since the school was annonced some year back, and after talking to my friend Marcus Bloom who was allready enrolled Ive got even more interested. So now Im a bibleschoolstudent again and it feels really good. I look forward into preparing myself for the things God has in store for me. I belive he is preparing me through this course. I belive that Reinhard Bonnke is an great resource for the body of Christ when it comes to reaching the unreached peoples of our world and to ignite a passion for souls. His organisation Cfan(Christ for all nations) has reached millions of africans with the the transforming message of Jesus. In one single meeting, over one million people signed a decisioncard. (decisioncard= decision of accepting christ).

Ive listned to this man of God at a conference here in Sweden 2005, and what I found was that is that Evangelist Bonnke was a real and humble servant of God. And a true rolemodel. Please watch this clip about what God is doing through CfaN.

As I spent time with the Lord latley Im once again begining to see people give their lives to Christ and their faces arent white. I have begun to see african people from different places cry out to God. And as I commune with the Holy Spirit I hear the cry on the inside. God is igniting his people to go out into all the world, are you willing to go? Oh how I love the lost peoplegrops of the world. I think alot of the thougts I will be sharing will be around this peoples. The Bible is saying alot about the unreached but I´ll leave you with just on word

This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to
all the nations
Matt 24:14

By the way please visit Marcus and Hanna Blooms ministry Good News To All People and read the victoryreports from around the world. Pray for them and for their crusades!

Prayer for today
Let the unreached see your light oh Lord!
Bless all the workers of the Kingdom at the harvestfields among the unreached.
Stirr my passion for the lost. Use me to reach the unreached!
Here I am....send me! AMEN

The Lord our God wants to breathe life into us

As I talked to the Lord today, he began to talk to me about the breath of life. The first thing the Lord did when he had molded Adam into his image was to breathe life into him.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7

He wants us to be able to inhale his life. His life is fresh and pure.
As we walk with him and commune with his Spirit, his life will flow into us and through us. He wants to see us on the mountain tops, but he can also reach us in the deepest vallyes. I think the most part of last year was a really deep valley in my life, but you know what? He reached me there as well and as we walked together and he carried me, I realized that you can not hide from the Lord. He loves us to much to let us go and live our life outside his plan and purpose.

As we begin to listen to his voice his life begins to flow in us and through us.
Ain't no mountain high enoúgh...Marvin Gay sang in the song with the same name. Even though its not a christian song but rather a love song sang by to lovers I feel that something really speaks the message God wants to send to you if you are feeling down.

There ain't no mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough
Ain't no river wide enough To keep me from getting to you

When we are weak and feeling abandoned God is there to breathe life into us.
The diciples felt let down and afraid when Jesus died. And they sat and had themselves a pittyparty, then Jesus showed up. And what did he do? He encouraged them and then he breathed life in to them.

And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost John 20:22

The bible shows us that there is nothing that can keep us from the love of Jesus.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

When his life is in us, we can realease it to breathe life into other people.
His main reason for giving us his Holy Spirit is the lost and hurting. God wants you to be filled with his overflowing life so that you can bless others.

Pray this prayer
Father God, I ask you to breathe life into me.
Come with your Holy Spirit and fill me with your joy.
Lead me with your Spirit and let me be a blessing to others. AMEN
