Welcome, this story is one of my favorite ones when it comes to serving God in a different country. This was on my first missionstrip and I went with Mission SOS to Bulgaria for a crusade among the gypsys and the turkish people in the south in the town of Pazardzik. The crusade in was really a big thing. Of the 90.000 citizens in Pazardzik over 12.000 attended at one meeting. Alot of people got heald and over 5500 people got saved(96% got baptised a short while after that and are now members in local churches). After the five day crusade, we went on a two day trip to Turkey and the capitalcity, Istanbul. We invited people to a "Swedish-Turkish cultural exchangeparty" at a hotel. As we went about in Istanbul and invited people to the party I saw a few african men (from Nigeria, I they told me later on) , whom I felt lead to invit. When the evening came and it was time for the party 300-400 young turks were there. It was not much room left! And because we were people from a christian country we sang some christian worshipsongs and did some dramas. Then there was a short sermon. At that time some young people got angry and went to the police and told them that we were spreading christian propaganda.(note Turkey is an muslim country). After the meeting I approached the african men and we got into a conversation, they were christians but not yet "baptised with the Holy Spirit". So I asked if the wanted to recive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. And they did. So me and another friend went just outside the room. Then turkish tv showed up (reaching over 75 million people) and we went up the stairs to avoid the tv-team. Then our leader for the trip Johannes Amritzer ran up the stairs saying "You cant stand here praying, the police is coming for an interrogation." So we went into the mensroom at the hotell, and there by the sink the Holy Spirit fell and our nigerian friends recieved the Holy Spirit!
Gods Spirit is changing people all over the world, when people are hungry for him, even at the mens room at an Istanbul hotel!
